Obsidian And Rare May Announce New Xbox IPs Soon

It’s time again for X019 to take place, an event that serves to celebrate the Xbox brand. The venue of the event will be London, England, but Microsoft prepares a commemorative Xbox Inside to celebrate with fans around the world. This new edition will be the most important of the year and apparently the company said that very seriously.

Information emerged that suggests there will be revelations of new IPs from 2 of the most important exclusive Xbox studios. According to Daniel Ahmad, renowned industry analyst, during the broadcast, Microsoft will reveal information about 2 new franchises that exclusive developers of Xbox Game Studios Rare and Obsidian Entertainment will be in charge of.

But the details did not stop there, as Daniel Ahmad announced that Microsoft will take advantage of the event to release several games developed by its internal studios, such as BLEEDING EDGE, Minecraft Dungeons and Wasteland 3, in addition to several surprises.

Also, it is expected that there will be a lot of information about titles for Xbox One despite the fact that Project Scarlett will be released at the end of next year. It is important to remind you that this information does not come from an official source. However, Ahmad has proven to be a reliable source.

X019 begins today, November 14, and will end on November 16. We remind you that the Microsoft event is expected to reveal more information about Age of Empires IV and services such as Project xCloud and Xbox Game Pass.

For now we don’t know what the Rare and Obsidian games are about, but fans have been quick to speculate about the return of the creators of Banjo-Kazooie to their platform. Fortunately, players won’t have to wait so long to know.

In other news, although its official premiere was almost 14 years ago, and they discontinued it in 2016, the Xbox 360 cannot be considered as abandoned hardware. This is because it still has several services and still receives updates. In fact, Microsoft released a new update for this console.

Through a support page, Microsoft announced that on November 12 it released version 2.0.17559.0 of the operating system of the Xbox 360. Unfortunately, it does not give much information about the changes you should expect, since it only indicates that it arrived to fix “minor bugs” and make other improvements.

Major Nelson made the following statement on Twitter.

Xbox 360 users, we released a system update to address some minor bug fixes and improvements.

Keep in mind that this is not the first update that Xbox 360 receives this year. On August 21, 2019, the seventh generation console received a new update. Prior to this, it obtained an update that arrived on May 22, 2018. So, it is clear that Microsoft’s plan is to support its console. We will see if this means that in the future we will see another update or if today’s is the last one.
