On their journey to being the master hunter in RDR2, perhaps the most elusive and toughest legendary animal players will encounter is the Legendary Alligator. In this guide, we will show you the location of the Legendary Alligator in Red Dead Redemption 2 and give useful tips on how you can go about defeating this swamp monstrosity, which requires some work to even spawn.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Legendary Alligator Location
Legendary Alligator has been one of the most questioned and confusing legendary creatures until now in RDR2. Players have been playing the game but they do not see any alligator spawning in any of the locations they go to. The reason for that is, The Legendary Alligator will not be spawning in any of the locations to go to and won’t be appearing on your map until Chapter 6 after you beat That’s Murfree Country.
How to Kill the Legendary Alligator
Head to the location of the Alligator, which is Lagras, and keep a rifle, carbine or a shotgun with you. Keep High Velocity or Express Bullets for ammunition.
Make sure that all your health, stamina and Dead Eye is fully regenerated. Once you are at the location, activate your Eagle Eyes skill by L3/LS + R3/RS and look around for anything that will give you an indication for where to find the Legendary Alligator.
You will soon find a piece of evidence and you have to look around for more then. Looking around for the pieces of evidence is going to take you straight to the Alligator.
Keep your ammo and weapons on point and activate your Dead Eye ability. Try to be subtle while taking the aim so that the Alligator has fewer chances of seeing you. The best place to aim at the Alligator will be its head, heart or lungs.
If you are using a carbine then zoom in for the aim or use a shotgun while activating the Dead Eye ability. The Dead Eye ability is going to save you if the alligator charges at you.
Try to be as efficient as you can and it is going to kill the alligator more quickly without it charging at you and possibly killing you.
Selling the Skin
After you have skinned the Legendary Alligator, take it to the Trapper to sell the skin. You can use it to craft items. You can craft items such as
