It’s been a long time since the last time we had news about Dragon Age 4. Bioware is tight-lipped about their next project, it might as well be their road for redemption though. The franchise has just turned 10 and in celebrations for the anniversary, the studio will share some news with fans on December 4th.
The announcement comes from Twitter where the BioWare team shared a post about the 10 year Dragon Age anniversary. The post indicates that there will be some sort of party to celebrate, hinting news about the fourth installment as well. The post reads:
Today marks 10 years of Dragon Age! This year we’re excited to join the community’s party on December 4th and celebrate a decade together in the world we all love. See you on 12/4 for Dragon 4ge Day!
It’s already been ten years since we first been in the universe of Dragon Age. The first title released in 2009, setting up a journey that will define an entire generation. Although BioWare had its ups and downs during the past years, their love for this particular world made it clear that their efforts won’t go to waste. As a result, Dragon Age 4 was announced during The Game Awards 2018 and since then, we fell into silence again.
The studio was clear that the game won’t release anytime soon. However, the 10 year anniversary is a perfect time for it to get its first information and release date. The post itself hints at this being the case since they misspelled “Age” with a 4, indicating this has something to do with their upcoming title. If that doesn’t scream Dragon Age 4 news then what is?
If that happens, are there any hopes of us seeing Dragon Age 4 in 2020? Undeniably, there will be a true dog fight with so many great games releasing next year. For us, it will be a great one nonetheless.
