Luigi’s Mansion 3 Gold ‘Money’ Farming Guide

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is filled with a ton of cool collectibles spread all over the layout of the Last Resort hotel. This includes money, in the form of gold coins and cash, that once found, can be spent on a bunch of neat items. This guide highlights the best ways to earn and spend the money you find.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 Gold Farming

Cash and Gold coins are hidden all over the hotel. The more obvious locations are the objects that display an interaction prompt above them such as drawers. Plus you can vacuum up some riches by aiming you Poltergust at shelves that have stuff on them.

These can be in more obscure places like behind curtains or in more obvious cases: piggy banks. There are piggy banks all over the place so vacuum them up and then blow out some money. Go for Gold bars when you can since they provide great amounts of wealth to you.

Catching Gold Ghosts
Gold Ghosts can be found on each floor of the Hotel and collecting them is a great source of Gold coins so be sure to explore as much as you can.  They’re normally hiding inside vases and other breakable items so once you come across one; stun it and then vacuum it up. The money will then get pumped out for you to collect.

Spending Gold
Although you can earn money pretty quickly, you have to wait until you’ve rescued Professor E. Gadd and have access to his laboratory before you can spend it on anything. The lab is where you’ll be able to access the shop and use your wealth to unlock some cool stuff.

Items like Gold Bones, Boo Finders, and Gem Finders can all be bought for 1,000 Gold Coins each. They all serve different purposes.

  • Gold Bone – Once your health drops to 0, Polterpup comes to your rescue in exchange for the bone
  • Boo Finder – As the name suggests, it pinpoints the location of a Boo on the map.
  • Gem Finder – Pinpoints the location of a gem on the map.

Tips
While getting all sorts of new items is alluring, saving up at least some small amount of money can be tremendously helpful when you encounter bosses.  Keep at least a couple of Gold Bones on you at all times to ensure the bosses don’t give you too much trouble and you have more tries during these fights.

That’s pretty much all you need to know regarding Gold in Luigi’s Mansion 3. We hope this guide has been helpful!
