Nioh 2 Gameplay Video Shows New Enemies And Boss

A new gameplay video for Nioh 2 has surfaced today by Playstation Access, showing one of the game’s stages including new enemies. At the end of the stage, you can find one of its many boss fights. Kasha, a boss moving on two wheels, yielding a whip is the product of nightmares we needed to keep us hyped for its release.

As you might expect, Nioh 2 isn’t ditching is incredibly difficult gameplay mechanics. However, your demon form along with the spirit guardians assisting you in battle will give you new opportunities to strike and win. The new gameplay video doesn’t leave out the intensity of Nioh’s universe, showing a stage filled with fire and out-of-this-world creatures. It all comes down to huge boss fights though and to that end, Nioh 2 delivers great entertainment. Undeniably, this game isn’t for the faint-hearted.

Kasha, the boss we can see by the end of the video is a female feline-human hybrid, moving on two burning wheels. Her movements are powerful and fast and you’ll need to dodge frequently in order to successfully complete the battle. Her whip is also one thing to worry about as it has a significant range. Luckily, you’ll be able to dodge roll between her legs and damage her from behind. During the second phase, Kasha will summon more minor enemies that will chase you down and she’ll move even faster than before. You’ll probably need a few tries before you memorize her move sets in order to be able to tackle it. The new demon form will prove to be incredibly useful in fights like that.

The new Nioh 2 gameplay video is exacly shows exactly what we’d expect from a sequel. At times, it does remind us of Sekiro but the darkness behind this title makes it a completely new experience.

Undeniably, games like Nioh 2 and Ghost of Tsushima will make the next year great for ninja-samurai video game lovers out there. Nioh 2 releases on May 24 for Playstation 4. Is the game follows the steps of its predecessor, we expect it to release on PC too later in its life cycle.
