With Fortnite Chapter 2’s release, Epic Games have remade the map. A lot of new locations have been added, while some popular locations have been left there. Since Fortnite Chapter 2 has just started, learning about the best landing locations will give you a great head-start over other players, since you will know exactly where to go, and you won’t waste time searching all over the map.
Finding the perfect landing spot is probably the most crucial aspect of the Battle Royale mode in Fortnite. If you land in a bad spot, which has low loot frequency, you’ve pretty much lost the match right then and there; since you’ll still be searching for loot while other players will be hunting for you.
In this guide, we’ve gathered all of the best landing spots in the new Fortnite map for you.
Best Landing Locations in Fortnite Chapter 2
When looking for a good landing spot, the main things to consider at its loot-frequency, popularity, and vehicles. Some spots have an abundance of loot, while loot in some areas seems very scarce. So, it is very important to know beforehand, what places have high loot-frequency and what don’t.
The popularity of the spot means how many players land there. If you’re a new player who is not that good at the game, its best to choose an unpopular spot so you don’t get killed as soon as you land. And if you’re a veteran player, it’s probably better for you to land in a somewhat-popular spot so you can kill off the new players early on, and get a lot of free kills.
Vehicles are quite important in the game. Not only can you travel faster on them, but they provide some protection; as it will be harder for players to shoot you when you’re moving at very high speeds. Hence, picking spots that have vehicles is very beneficial.
All of these qualities were taken into consideration when we picked the following spots.
In our opinion, Slurpy Swamp is currently the best place to land in Fortnite Chapter 2. The key feature of this spot is that it provides limitless amounts of shield.
In the middle of the spot is a big truck and large containers, which say ‘Slurp Co.’. If you break these, you will be rewarded with a great amount of shield. Plus, there are also a couple of barrels present which can be broken for more shield.
If that wasn’t enough, you can just sit in the water surrounding it, in the most light-bluish part, and your shield will slowly increase.
It also has a lot of woodpiles, so you can obtain a ton of wood very quickly.
Salty Springs has very impressive loot-frequency. It is covered with villas and stores which host great loot. A great thing about Salty Springs is that it isn’t too large, so not a lot of players land here. Allowing you to gather a fair amount of loot for yourself.
Sweaty Sands is a very fun place to land. Not only does it have decent loot, but it also has a boat here so you can ride through the canals with your friends.
Dirty Docks does not seem to get a lot of players, even though it has pretty good loot. This makes it a perfect spot to land and gear up very quickly. It also hosts some vehicles, which will allow you to get around the map faster.
Retail Row is a very under-appreciated spot, which actually might be its biggest strength. It has great loot-frequency. But barely any players give this spot a visit. So, it is easily one of the best spots in the game, purely based on the fact that it allows you to get your loot in peace, without being ambushed by other players.
Those are our picks for the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 2. This list will be kept updated as more spots are introduced and/or existing ones are revamped.
