Leaked Fortnite Chapter 2 Trailer Shows New Leveling System

Fortnite doesn’t seem to stop amazing us with its bold choices. Right now the game is officially offline, having players going into a frenzy. A new leaked trailer, showing off Fortnite Chapter 2 has emerged, including new ways to play and a leveling system that we still don’t understand.

The first thing we know about Fortnite Chapter 2 is that it must include a new map. Epic Games has done pretty much everything with the previous one, having it bombarded by meteors, invaded by monsters and more. The new leak trailer, which is currently trending in the Fortnite community shows off new locations, new mechanics and more. Check it out:

Starting off with the Fortnite Chapter 2 trailer, we see a couple of new locations, which strengthen the idea of having a new map. A dam and a nuclear power station can be seen in it, locations that are far from what we know about the existing map.

Moving on, we have a new leveling system for Fortnite, one that includes achievements and a legit level ladder. Players will be able to rank up by mining, opening chests and doing new activities like swimming or fishing. Fishing is another cool mechanic we see in the trailer and we can’t wait to see what Epic Games has in store for us with that.

According to the new Fortnite Chapter 2 trailer, boats will become the next big thing in battles. Squads will now be able to go into full attack mode while racing on the water. The new Fortnite map looks like it has a strong element of water, so get ready for the game to change a lot if that the leak is legit.

The said trailer is a campaign for the first Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass, meaning that the format stays the same. The new Battle Pass, much like its predecessors will give you more than 100 cosmetics to unlock, including V-Bucks, skins and emotes. And oh… how we love emotes in Fortnite.

Note that nothing is set in stone for Fortnite Chapter 2 yet. As far as we know, the game is offline and its fate is uncertain. Clearly, Epic Games doesn’t have a reason to shut their most loved IP down but the way it’s coming back is a mystery. Right now, more than 200.000 viewers are watching a black hole screen on Fortnite’s Twitch.tv account, hoping for any announcements. It’s more than a day now that the game has gone offline so we can’t wait to jump right in.
