Fortnite: Save The World Could Soon Be Free-To-Play

Before Fortnite had a Battle Royale and became the global phenomenon that it is today, it was a PvE game that is now known as Fortnite: Save the World. This project is available in Early Access for a fee and Epic Games promised that at some point it will be free-to-play. If you’re waiting for that to happen, you’ll be glad to know that the time might come soon.

As FortniteIntel reports, in recent hours fans noticed that the option to buy the Fortnite: Save the World – Standard Founders Pack was removed from the PlayStation Store. On the other hand, the Xbox store indicates that it is not for sale and that to acquire it you need to redeem a code. On the other hand, the Epic Games Store removed it completely from its store.

The fact that Fortnite: Save the World is no longer for sale has made many believe that the premiere of its free-to-play version is imminent. After all, that the new chapter of the Battle Royale brought a new map and allowed more people to play the PvE would not be far-fetched.

Unfortunately, Epic Games has not commented on this situation. So, for now, the best thing you can do is take it as a rumor and avoid getting excited. We will be alert and inform you when we know the date on which you can access Save the World without paying.

In other news, as Fortnite is still down as part of The End of Fortnite, much of its community has decided that the best thing to do is to investigate what the hell is going on for the Battle Royale. This is how someone managed to filter a trailer that shows us the news that will be part of Chapter 2 of the Battle Royale.

The video was originally found by Skin Tracker, however, it had to be removed from this site at the request of Epic Games. Fortunately, many players looked fast and backed them. Thanks to this, different copies of the footage are now circulating on different Internet channels, such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.

This is a video that, in just over 30 seconds, shows us a lot of things that will reach Fortnite as part of Chapter 2. The first thing it focuses on is a few skins that follow the same quality line that the ones we’ve seen in past seasons. Things become a bit more interesting when it is revealed to us that there will be new ways to level up in the Battle Pass.

You can level up with medals that are obtained by completing different actions such as getting casualties or getting resources. That is not all, since the advance also shows us that there will be new game mechanics in Chapter 2 of Fortnite. For example, it will be possible to swim, fish and paddle boats, which leads to new gameplay opportunities, such as fighting between boats.

We also see that it will be possible to carry injured partners, possibly to heal them in a safer place. Finally, it also confirms that this season will arrive next to a new map. Next, we leave you with the video. Just keep in mind that it may have been deleted by the time you are reading this article.

I remind you that Fortnite is available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
