Modern Warfare Progression System Leaked, Shows Two Different Leveling Systems

With the release of the new Modern Warfare game coming ever closer, more and more leaks are starting to come out about it. Most recently, a new leak has come out about the Modern Warfare progression system and how Infinity Ward has changed up the formula, according to TheGamingRevo.

Going by his leak, the progression system in the upcoming Modern Warfare game has taken out a notable mechanic that keeps people playing the multiplayer: there’s no prestigeing. There are actually two different leveling systems intended for different time periods in the game.

The first one is the Base Levels. The Base Levels, rather than being allowed to prestige, are instead used over the entire lifetime of the game. Once players get to level 55 of 55, then it’s over, they can’t discard their progress and go back to level 1 for a second go.

However, there’s also seasonal ranking. This sort of ranking will go for a season, and at the end of each one the levels will reset to level one, and you gain more temporary levels after you reach 55. While your levels will be reset at the end of each season, however, you still get to keep all the equipment and weapons you got from the previous season.

The leak also claims that in addition to the Modern Warfare progression system, there are around 80 levels for each weapon in the game, and there could be anywhere from 55 to 160 seasonal levels in the game too, meaning that even if you don’t prestige, you likely won’t run out of levels.

While, like most leaks, this hasn’t actually been confirmed by Infinity Ward, since the game launches on October 25 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC, you’ll be able to get a look at the Modern Warfare progression system for yourself. So, if you’re a primarily multiplayer person like most Call of Duty fans, hopefully this system satisfies you.
