Shenmue III Exclusive Backer Demo Coming This Weekend

The exclusive Shenmue III demo for the patrons of the game’s Kickstarter project will arrive this month. They scheduled the demo of the game to arrive this upcoming weekend.

Below you will find more details about the demo and how to access it in case you are part of the selected group.

The Shenmue III demo focuses on one in-game day in the Bailu Village area near the beginning of the game. While playing the demo, you can expect to find both elements of the story such as battles, mini-games and more as long as there is a bit of everything.

To cover some logistical and technical details, we can add that the keys that the patrons will receive will be redeemable through the Epic Games Store and you will need 20 GB of storage to download the demo and play.

On the other hand, they have confirmed that there will be no limit of times to play it and that the progress achieved in the demo will not be transferred to the final version of the game.

The trial version will feature a stand-alone act with objective that takes place in the first area of Shenmue III, Bailu Village. The game will be playable for an estimated 1 hours, and will be replayable after the objective has been cleared. There are lots of activities to experience and we hope you go back for more until the trial expires. The trial version will also come with a PDF play guide. Trial version saves will not transfer over to the final version of the game.

The title has been a rumor for years, but it was not until E3 2015 when an excited Yu Suzuki took the stage at the Sony conference to announce the game. The same conference of the announcement of Final Fantasy VII accompanied the announcement of Shenmue III Remake and the return of The Last of Us. This was quite the historical event.

The game has received some criticism for its graphic section, which is still in progress, and the modeling of the characters. Instead of its own graphic engine as on previous occasions, Shenmue III uses Unreal Engine 4, which has meant that they have had to adapt a lot of previous works to the new engine.

The full title will last between 35 and 40 hours. I remind you that Shenmue III will arrive on November 15 for PS4 and PC (Epic Games Store).
