Fallout 76 T-51 Helmets Have Mold Risk, Recall In Process

According to Bethesda, Fallout 76 T-51 Helmets are being recalled due to mold risk. The Power Armor Edition Helmets are fine but the T-51 helmets sold by GameStop are the problem. So if you purchased the T-51 Helmets from GameStop, head to the recall page to return the product immediately.

The helmets that are being recalled are not from our Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition, but are instead a different line of helmets sold exclusively by GameStop. The Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition helmets are unaffected. Consumers should visit the product recall page for instructions if they have purchased the GameStop helmet

There doesn’t seem to be any listings for the product online so it is hard to say which product this is. But you will know which product this is if you bought it from GameStop. According to the recall page:

This recall involves the T-51b Power Armor Helmet. The one-size fits-all helmet is constructed of ABS plastic and has a polyester/cotton blend fabric liner with elastic. The product name “T-51b” and “Power Armor Helmet” appears on the product packaging.

You are to “immediately stop using the recalled collectible helmets and contact GameStop for a full refund and return instructions.” GameStop is contacting all known buyers itself to offer refunds for the return of the product.

There are no known incidents or injuries at the moment but it is best to act quickly and return the product. It is a shame Bethesda messed up so badly with Fallout 76 physical merchandise. Physical canvas bags are still not fully shipped to the buyers and cheap leather jacket for Fallout 76 is still fresh in our memories. And now, it is actually a health hazard to own a Fallout 76 T-51 collectible helmet. Bethesda can’t seem to catch a break with Fallout 76.

The good thing is that at least they are offering full refunds to customers.
