WB Games is working on a new mobile game from its WB Games New Studio. The development team is looking for a Software Engineer for its new “groundbreaking mobile game.”
The developer will be responsible for maintaining tools and online systems that help bring NetherRealm Studios’ game to life. The creator of Mortal Kombat games has worked on multiple mobile games over the years so it isn’t a surprise to see another mobile title from the studio.
The job listing sounds like this new mobile game will have online elements. Considering this is a NetherRealm game, a studio known for fighting games, this could also be something in the same genre.

You’ll develop features that help make our games feel dynamic and responsive to community needs. You’ll be working to incorporate the latest trends in the mobile market with the latest technology.
Mortal Kombat 11 released on mobile this year so this game is probably a new IP for iOS and Android devices. The new mobile game features “several online” services and will use the studio’s proprietary “Hyrda Studio.” Hydra Studio integrates some of the biggest IPs in the gaming industry.
