Call of Duty Modern Warfare Beta Code Mentions Battle Royale

Call of Duty Modern Warfare is releasing next month but a PC beta is live right now which means users can poke around in the beta files. Inside the beta code files of Modern Warfare, there is mention of Battle Royale mode, as found by “TheGamingRevolution.”

The Youtuber was able to find a proper reference to Battle Royale for Modern Warfare.

Charlie Intel was also able to confirm that there are multiple, extensive references to a Battle Royale mode for Call of Duty Modern Warfare. There have been multiple rumors in the past pointing to Battle Royale mode in Modern Warfare.

Reports suggest that lead development team at Raven Software is working on Modern Warfare Battle Royale which is going to be free to play but won’t release with the base game at launch.

Modern Warfare Battle Royale mode is planned for a 2020 release. Raven Software’s logo is omitted from the beta but the studio is still credited on working on the project which suggests there is something that’s yet to be announced. Could it be a Battle Royale mode? It seems like it.

For now, you can try the beta on PC by downloading the 36.7GB client from Blizzard app. Here’s what you need to run the game.
