Alan Wake Remaster is coming to Nintendo Switch if some new evidence is to be believed. It is a rumor at this point and it comes from a YouTube video from Doctor81 that gained popularity on ResetEra.

One of the staff members of Virtuous Studios posted on his Linkedin Page that he is working on a AAA title remake for Nintendo Switch.

In case you aren’t aware, Virtuous Games has a history working with Remedy titles such as Quantum Break for PC and Xbox One. The studio has a long-standing relationship with Remedy Entertainment.

According to the Linkedin page, the remaster will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch at some point, no release window is provided at the moment.

The release on Nintendo Switch means this title will be playable on the go for the first time. Remedy Entertainment gained rights of Alan Wake this year. Ever since the deal went through there was speculations of another Alan Wake game in the series.

Developers often test the waters by releasing a remaster before pushing out a new installment. Seeing Alan Wake remaster on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One boosts the possibility of another installment.

Remedy Entertainment is interested in creatin Alan Wake 2. Creator Sam Lake recently told IGN that he wants to make another game in the series.

I want to make it. It’s a curious thing. At this point, so much time has passed. I feel that the bar is higher in some ways. It needs to be done right if it’s ever done. Everything needs to click into place, which is really hard to make it happen. So many things, for these big games to be greenlit, need to be aligned. But I’m hoping that someday [it can be made]

Alan Wake creators worked on multiple ideas for Alane Wake 2 but eventually, those ideas led to Alan Wake American Nightmare and Quantum Break. The next-generation consoles being so close, another Alan Wake game might actually be PS5 and Xbox Scarlett exclusive.
