A conversation between an interested gamer and CD Projekt RED has given us the revelation that a Cyberpunk 2077 crafting system will be available when the game comes out, and players will be able to make ample use of it no matter their class, so long as they have the right perks.
Much like the Witcher games that CD Projekt RED had previously created, which had their own crafting systems to make oils and bombs and various tools that Geralt of Rivia could use to better help him hunt monsters, Cyberpunk 2077 has a similar intention with its own system.
The Cyberpunk 2077 crafting system, according to the exchange, allows players to create armor, shards for cyberware, weapon modifications, special weapons, and various specialized gadgets. All of this can likely be done with components that you can buy or collect while walking around Night City.
There will likely be all kinds of different things that you can make within those categories, too, each one intended for a different variant. There could be one gadget for hacking doors, another for hacking computers, a weapon mod that gives you a flashlight, different sights, and more.
However, we don’t actually know what sorts of gadgets, weapon mods, special weapons, and more that will be available, so the possibilities of what could actually be created with the crafting system remains to be seen until the game actually comes out.
While CD Projekt RED could eventually give us a gameplay video that might show off the Cyberpunk 2077 crafting system, at the same time we may not see anything about it until the game actually comes out in 2020.
Considering how deep the various recipes and schematics for the Witcher’s crafting system was, especially in Wild Hunt, we’ll likely have a lot of different things that we can collect and craft. Cyberpunk 2077 comes out on April 16 of 2020 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
