Final Fantasy VIII Remastered Premieres With Nostalgic Trailer

They were years of waiting, but Square Enix heard the fans shouting for return of Final Fantasy VIII. They have done so with Final Fantasy VIII Remastered.

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is the remastering of the eighth installment of the famous Square Enix role-playing saga. Using the original 32-bit version of Sony, they will improve it with new updated and revised graphics, a higher quality soundtrack based on the original compositions and a series of optional playable settings.

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered tells us the story of Squall, a young man who enters as a cadet in the SeeD Academy. They soon discover that the geopolitics of the video game universe, which mixes magic and technology, is more complex than usual, and that behind the war of the Republic of Gabaldia lies the witch Edea.

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered goes beyond a simple remastering typical of Square Enix. Unlike other versions of his classics, the eighth will go far beyond usual, with notable changes in the graphics and modeling of the characters. While not overly revolutionary, Dotemu has collaborated on the project with some members of the original team, such as battle programmer Horoshi Harada, character modeler Tomohiro Kayano and artist Tetsuya Nomura.

The script of the game is more complex, full of twists, secrets and a dispute between nations and territories much more serious than it seems. Now it will be less pixelated and will have more detailed characters during the fighting, with a quantity of polygons more clear and an aspect in general lines much more in line with the original times.

Also the remaster appears to accelerate the speed of the game to the triple of the normal game, as well as in PC you will be able to obtain all the objects, abilities, limit attacks, letters, to empower the Guardian Forces, to gain money and magic to the maximum capacity.

You can add the title to your collection for $19.99. You will need about 3.34 GB (PS4), 2.7 GB (Switch), 2.81 GB (Xbox One) and 5 GB (PC) for installation. Square Enix celebrated the launch with a nostalgic trailer which you can see at the end of the article.
