Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Fighting Predators

Most of the predators can be a pain to deal with like snakes can bite you and inflict you with poison. Dealing with that poison can be a pain too as normal water doesn’t cure it only Coconut Water does.

You will know if a predator is around you when the meter will start blinking red. Whenever you encounter a predator you can intimidate then by pressing a button. This works most of the time and they go away but in some cases, they won’t be intimidated.

You can increase the chances of the predators getting intimidated if you bring more of your clanmates or use a weapon like a Sharpened Stick. The other options when intimidating doesn’t work are fighting or running.

Running is quite easy you just have to go to the opposite direction to where your enemy is.

Try dodging left and right when senses trigger. You’ll now be out of danger and you can run away. If you are carrying something on your way you might drip it when dodging.

The other option is to fight and for that a weapon is necessary. Do bear in mind that if you get hit by the enemy’s attack you might take a lot of damage and even take bleeding effect.

To attack press the designated button and move the joystick (if you are playing with a controller) towards the predator. You can release the button when you hear the sound.

Some predators might not die by a single hit and some larger creatures might run away after a few hits but do keep on mind they will remain hostile towards you.

There are multiple types of weapons in the game like granite rocks and other types of rocks or bones. Sharper weapons do the trick better in most cases.
