The Last of Us Part II is still in the spotlight, and possibly with other releases such as Cyberpunk 2077 or Final Fantasy VII Remake is one of the most anticipated creations of the video game industry.
However, we still have little information about the game, including the release date. Now, at least, it seems that ‘soon’ the title in question would be used to show the power of the upcoming PlayStation 5.
Before proceeding, I will indicate that the rumor on which such a possibility is based comes from Reddit, a place that, like other forums such as 4chan, can contain both positive surprises and great lies, so unfortunately I cannot confirm the validity.
In any case, I will begin by highlighting that in accordance with what was collected by VGSources, it is speculated that a special presentation will be held on February 12, 2020 by showing off the new Sony console, and apparently The Last of Us Part II will also be present.
Specifically, it is indicated that in such context “Sony will use The Last of Us Part II to show the world the features that PlayStation 5 has to offer”. Among these, it is possible to prepare for the following:
- Graphics and lighting effects like never before.
- Up to four times more polygons than in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
- The transitions between cutscenes have been improved.
- New mechanics and systems incorporated in Ellie to bring tension to the limit.
As I have pointed out, there is no way of ensuring that what has been said about The Last of Us Part II and PS5 is real, but what seems certain is that Sony and the developer are not sitting arms folded.
The proof of this is seen during the recent Gamestop Managers Show, which hosted a brief new gameplay sample of The Last of Us Part II that, for the moment, must still see the light publicly.
The Last of Us Part II will be launched on PlayStation 4, and everything indicates that the work will also reach PlayStation 5.
