Now, a few months after the launch of the expected sequel to the game, Techland wanted to show for the first time an extensive gameplay without cuts or touch-ups to show the novelties and playability of Dying Light 2.
The gameplay shown, which you can see below, brings out the benefits of this new installment. The video focuses on one mission, and also shows the combat against both human and zombie enemies, parkour and playable options and narratives of the main protagonists.
As explained, this time we will have many more options in the missions, so that the course of events is altered and different doors are opened from the playable point of view.
Specifically, in the mission shown different options were given to finish it, and the one chosen by the studio is one that opens the world to a completely new area that has new enemies, movements and mechanics. And, besides all this, it carries the narrative through a concrete channel that allows us to discover more about the city and the characters.
Another novelty that has been brought to light is the greater complexity of the work. On the one hand, weapons and parkour movements have been included that, in addition, are now combined with each other. There are weapons that serve both long and short range and have specific movements that we can use in combat.
On the other hand, the inclusion of different factions with which we can collaborate give many new perspectives on the world of Dying Light 2 and allow us to create even more options.
You can see all of this in the video that we leave below. We remind you that Dying Light 2 will land on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One spring of 2020.
