Remnant: From the Ashes Shroud

Before you even consider to fight Shroud or any other boss in Remnant: From the Ashes for that part, always remember to upgrade! If the weapons you are using are completely leveled up, you have fighting chance against Shroud. Also remember to visit Reggie, at Ward 13 base, to replenish your Oilskin tonic and bandages before the fight.

Now getting to the main part, Shroud’s fighting style. Not only would you be getting hit randomly as this guy teleport to a different place but would also be under attack from above. This guy bombards you with an aerial arrow shower.

The damage you would be dealt from these hits is bleeding penalty. Furthermore, you would also need to dodge the dust clouds as these would infect you. The best strategy to help in this boss fight is to keep moving as this would also prevent you getting locked down by Shroud’s minions, yes there are those as well. There is a specific sound that you hear before the blast attack. As soon as you hear it, start running and you will avoid it almost every time.

Since the minions, an integral part of all the bosses you would be facing in Remnant: From the Ashes, are coming at you in waves, annihilating a wave would give you a small window to attack the boss. The gun you have, whether a shotgun or rifle, would also greatly affect your personal strategy, although we would recommend keeping your distance and using ranged attacks.

Another thing that we would recommend is to maintain higher ground. This gives you better visibility and options when fighting. The minions might corner you when on a lower level while you try to dodge Shroud’s attacks closing off your fighting options and this can really get annoying.

Overall it takes about ten minutes give or take a minute to defeat Shroud on average, you may die a couple of times but persistence and patience are the key components to successfully progressing to the end of Remnant: From the Ashes
