Epic Games Store to Announce STALKER 2 Exclusive Deal at Gamescom 2019?

Gamescom 2019 is now right around the corner, Epic Games announces new additions to the Epic Games store that will be revealed at the event as well.

Gamescom 2019 is less than a day away now. The internet’s going pretty bonkers with their theories and rather wild assumptions about what we could be seeing. While the majority of these are rumors, such as Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, one thing is confirmed. That confirmation is of the Epic Games Store getting new games that will be announced at Gamescom 2019.

Here’s the official Tweet from Epic Games about the announcement:

Now we don’t know for sure if these are announcements of completely new games or existing ones moving to the Epic Games store. These are where the rumors continue to sprout from here and there.

One of them that’s gained traction is about STALKER 2. Stalker is a Russian post-apocalyptic game made by GSC Game World, a studio in Ukraine. The Indie aspect of this studio has inclined people to believe that the sequel may become an Epic Games exclusive. And we all know how much people absolutely adore that practice.

Still, it’s yet to be confirmed whether or not the rumors are actually true. As I said before, the only confirmation is new additions to the Epic Games Store.

Maybe the games being added aren’t even exclusives. They could just be games that are also going to be present on the Epic Store as they already are on others. The shared retailing would be a bit awkward to be done with platforms like Steam considering their strained relationship as of late. Nonetheless, anything that gets Epic to stop buying off exclusives.

That’s not what Gamescom 2019 is all about though. Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to show off its Stadia capability at the event as well. People are hoping that Rockstar announces Red Dead Redemption 2 to be coming for PC setups in the near future as well. This is something that’s likely to happpen sooner or later because Rockstar games has blatantly followed the same business strategy as they did with GTA V. This includes the PC release after at least a year of the console launch.

People are also excited to see what Cyberpunk 2077 has to offer. We’re hoping there’s more gameplay. No cinematic trailer will be topping the way Keanu Reeves was revealed at E3 2019.
