The Surge 2 is the sequel of The Surge which wasn’t received that well. However, the sequel, which is a futuristic Dark Souls-like game is being hyped up. There has already been one closed beta. And now Deck13 has announced another closed beta.
The closed beta will start on the 15th of August and will run till the 25th. About 1,000 players are currently being sought so head over here to sign up. However, not everyone will be allowed to be a part of it.
To even sign up for the closed beta, you have to be over 18, have a steam account and speak either French or English. The language requirement isn’t racist, despite what you might be thinking. It’s only because they want you to share feedback with them.
And you can only share your feedback with them. If you share it with others, there will be legal repercussions.
This is because there is a non-disclosure agreement for participants. The agreement entails not sharing any information, screenshots or footage. We wonder if there will be an open beta. It seems unlikely but would be pretty cool.
Deck13 released this statement about it.
The team has been working hard on The Surge 2 and we’ve now reached a stage at which we’d like to gather another round of feedback about the game. Your reports will be instrumental in order to polish the experience as much as possible.
Thanks a lot to those who participated in the first closed beta, your feedback was very valuable and helped us bring this new iteration to you all!
We’re looking for approximately 1,000 players to participate in this private Closed Beta for The Surge 2.
This beta will last from August 15th to August 26th, 2019.
The Surge 2 is currently slated to release on September 24th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It will have the gory violence that players enjoyed about the previous game’s combat. There will be changes as well. Deck13 is expanding on the game’s exploration by having alternate paths in Jericho City and various secrets.
You can sign up for the beta here.
