Nintendo just announced on TwitterJ that new Pokemon information for Pokemon Sword and Shield would be coming out on August 7, tomorrow. The presentation will likely mean that we’ll learn about a few more Pokemon and more about the Galar Region in general, including characters, towns, and more. However, we don’t know how long it will be.
Since Pokemon Sword and Shield is the most recent Pokemon generation, and the first mainline Pokemon game that’s coming to the Nintendo Switch, there’s been a lot of hype about it, though also a lot of criticism due to a number of issues from graphics to the Pokemon Bank.
We had a presentation on Pokemon Sword and Shield back in July in the form of an extended trailer that showcased four different Galar Region Pokemon, along with an improved version of Dynamaxing called Gigantimaxing and two new gym leaders that would be version exclusives of each other.
The game also got a good amount of attention at E3 this year, which showed off a number of different towns and characters including the Galar Region Champion Leon, the Galar Region professor, Professor Magnolia, and the region’s Grass-type gym leader, Milo.
While we don’t know what will be coming in the new Pokemon information presentation tomorrow, we’ll likely at least get a number of new Pokemon out of it, and maybe even start to see what the region’s starters, Grooky, Scorbunny, and Sobble, will evolve into.
This is a similar way to how Nintendo did the reveals for Pokemon Sun and Moon, repeatedly putting out various videos that not only showed us new Alolan-type Pokemon (along with Alolan Forms of more familiar Pokemon) as the date got closer, so we may be seeing these presentations coming more rapidly in the future.
Either way, be sure to tune in at 6 A.M. Pacific Time (or your regional equivalent) to see all of the new Pokemon information for yourself. The game itself will be launching on November 15 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
