New Astral Chain Trailer Reveals More Gameplay Action

Astral Chain, the much-anticipated PlatinumGames title has seen a new action gameplay trailer being released today on Nintendo's official Youtube channel.

Astral Chain, the much-anticipated PlatinumGames title has seen a new action gameplay trailer being released today on Nintendo’s official Youtube channel.

In this new action game by PlatinumGames, humanity’s last chance against an interdimensional invasion lies in a unit called Legion. Players will embody an agent debuting with an elite police force, and will team up with the Legion to solve problems and save humanity.

Players will be able to use different attack styles and perform spectacular combos. In attempting to save the world from the Chimera invasion, they will have to interact with citizens, interrogate suspects and partner with other members of their elite unit to solve difficult cases.

In addition, a collector’s edition will also be available and will contain a beautiful 152-page art book, a Shikishi board featuring an exclusive illustration of character designer Masakazu Katsura (appreciated for creating popular manga like Video Girl Ai, I’s, and DNA²), a soundtrack CD, all in a gorgeous looking box set.

It has also been announced that PlatinumGames will release a patch for Astral Chain The game will be updated to version 1.0.1 with this patch, which according to data miners will be 187 MB in size and shouldn’t change much in the final game. The main game size is estimated to be around 10 GB.

There is still no official information on what this patch actually changes in the game. We recall that Astral Chain’s release is scheduled for August 30th, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
