Ever since the start of 2019, we has seen a lot of leaks and rumors regarding a Nintendo Switch port of CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. During E3 2019, it was finally confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt would release on the Nintendo Switch later this year, even though a precise release date wasn’t revealed.
Nintendo Switch fans have been waiting to get their hands on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for quite some time now. There’s a massive fan base behind CD Projekt RED’s Witcher series and for a good reason too.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt went down as one of the best RPGs of recent time. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was loved by millions of gamers across the world. Back in June, it was reported that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt made over 40 million sales, which is clearly an impressive figure for any video game.
Just yesterday, ESRB officially published the ratings for the Nintendo Switch port of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Now, this is interesting for a number of reasons. If ESRB is publishing the ratings for the Nintendo Switch, it means the release date is close by. In fact, the release date may even be within August.
In the UK, there is the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) which is similar to America’s ESRB and assigns age and content ratings to video games. Another interesting point is that PEGI, so far, hasn’t officially published the rating for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Nintendo Switch port.
Back in July, a leak suggested September 24, 2019, as the release date for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Nintendo Switch port. It is likely the release date will fall somewhere around August and September.
In any case, since this isn’t official information from CD Projekt RED or Nintendo, it is best to take it with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more information regarding The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Nintendo Switch release date.
