Infinity Ward has made it clear that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will bet on realism and a raw vision of war. After some games of the franchise addressed contexts of conflicts in the future, stories of zombies and others, it became common to have all kinds of configurations, skins, and weapon models that went away from reality, however, things will change with the title that will debut on October 25.
Joel Emslie, director of Infinity Ward, said in a conversation initiated on Reddit by a fan that the content of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare regarding its multiplayer component will maintain the same line as the campaign in terms of realism.
The Redditor posted “Please do not have pink, rainbow, glowing, random unrealistic skins for our character”, in that sense, Emslie just said that the development of the multiplayer component is guided by the idea of “realistic and relevant”. After the response, people celebrated the decision and asked Infinity Ward to maintain that position, even if there is a chance that, in the future, the design and release of content that does not apply will be requested.
It is worth mentioning that Infinity Ward has opted to break with some recent Call of Dutyschemes, such as bypassing zombie mode because the study considers that it has no relation to the realistic proposal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, even though it is very popular. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will debut on October 25 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
