CD Projekt Red recently confirmed to a fan that players will no be able to have a pet companion in Cyberpunk 2077. The person who asked the question was hoping to have a cyber cat as a pet in the sci-fi game but unfortunately, that’s not going to happen.
However, the developer has already confirmed the existence of dogs and cats in Cyberpunk 2077. Last month, DD Projekt RED’s quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz also hinted that players might end up seeing more animals in the final version of Cyberpunk 2077.
It appears that the team is still deciding so everyone who wants to pet animals or have a Cyber cat as a pet in Cyberpunk 2077 should start petitioning now.
So to some degree it’s intentional that we will have very few animals, but from time to time we do have them. You might have seen a cat in last year’s demo. So still in the air, Tomaszkiewicz said.
That’s pretty much all that we know about pets in Cyberpunk 2077. However, the absence of Cyber Cat or pets in Cyberpunk 2077 shouldn’t be an issue for anyone because the developer is working on other better things.
Recently, CD Projekt confirmed that players will be able to talk to NPCs without leaving their car or bike. In addition to this, Cyberpunk 2077 will feature nudity, garages, radio stations, different religions and more. For those who don’t, Keanu Reeves is also a part of the upcoming sci-fi game and he will be playing the role of Johnny Silverhand. You can learn more about Reeve’s in-game character from our detailed article.
We can’t wait to try out all of the features of the game when it releases next year. Cyberpunk 2077 release date is set for April 16, 2020, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Interested players can now pre-order the game from PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store.
