Red Dead Redemption Remake and RDR 2 DLC Rumors Are Fake

The leaker who started rumors about Red Dead Redemption Remake and RDR 2 DLC has revealed that it was all fake and made up. This is sad news for everyone who believed in the rumor. The leaker has admitted that it was an experiment to see if the rumor will blow up or not. He also wanted to see what gaming sites would spread the rumor.

Anyway, I’m not surprised because the leak sounded like a big fat fake. For those who missed the leak or chose to ignore it completely, here’s what you missed. First, the leaker mentioned that he received all of this information related to Red Dead Redemption Remake and Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC from a friend who’s an environmental artist at Rockstar Games.

According to the fake leak, Rockstar Games was working on an entire Red Dead Redemption remake with a much larger map as compared to the original. In addition to this, Rockstar planned on releasing RDR Remake on current generation consoles like PS4 and Xbox One.

On the other hand, the leaker also said that Rockstar was working on Red Dead Redemption 2 Aliens DLC.

Today, leaker throwaway11113454 posted on Reddit to announce that Red Dead Redemption Remake and Red Dead 2 Aliens DLC is not in works as far he knows. Interested players can head over to Reddit to read what the leaker said.

The leaker planned on doing this for a long time. He took advantage of Red Dead Redemption 2 Alien references in the story mode to fool everyone into thinking that a DLC is coming.

However, it’s still possible that Rockstar will release a Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC in the future but don’t expect it to arrive anytime soon.

Another thing which suggests that Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC is coming is the locked away area in the game. In addition to this, players have also found a way to glitch into this locked area. Now the fact that the area is locked by the developers makes us somewhat believe that they have plans for it. It’s just a speculation for now.

Apart from that, Take-Two Interactive previously said that DLC is a very profitable business model so there’s no reason why they will want to skip it with RDR 2.

Fake rumors are the reason why we advise everyone to wait for the official confirmation by the developer, especially if the rumor is about Red Dead Redemption. It’s rumored for a long time that Red Redemption 2 is coming to PC. And we really don’t know when this rumor will turn into a reality.

Until then, players can play Red Dead Redemption 2 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Red Dead Online is now also out of beta and filled with new features so give it a try.
