Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC Leaked, Cowboys Vs Aliens?

Red Dead Redemption 2 was a huge hit when it came out back in October. The game was a single-player masterpiece who’s story touched every gamer’s heart, especially if they’ve played the original game. With the story’s epic conclusion, one question in everybody’s minds was about Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC. Will it happen?

We already know about Rockstar Games having long term plans for Red Dead Online. I mean it had an update recently as well. But a leak from Reddit suggests that Rockstar is planning an expansion for RDR 2’s single-player. One that involves-wait for it -aliens!

Now the leaker claimed he got this information from a friend that works at Rockstar. He went on to add that the friend is an environmental artist. This means the leak is second-hand information so take it with a grain of salt. There’s a very high chance that it’s blatantly false.

At the same time, it’s not very far fetched to believe. Red Dead Redemption 1 did have a similar supernatural single-player DLC. Undead nightmare was the game’s take on a zombie apocalypse as John Marston.

Since the leak here confirms that the DLC will be as Arthur Morgan again, this does fit with Rockstar’s strategy. A new version of undead nightmare but with aliens instead. To further reinforce the idea, there is actually a UFO sighting in Red Dead Redemption 2 from inside a cabin. While it’s currently seen as an easter egg, it could very well be a teaser to this Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC.

It’s definitely something fans would love. Spoiler alert: we still miss Arthur Morgan after his demise in the events of 2. To play as him again the way Undead Nightmare let us play as John again would be an absolute treat. Keep in mind that this is still just a leak. It’s also the same one that claimed an RDR 1 remake was on the way.

Sadly there’s still no news on a Red Dead Redemption 2 PC edition as of yet. Hopefully, we will hear something official about all these rumors around Gamescom or time to come after that. Meanwhile, stay tuned to SegmentNext for the latest updates.
