More Confirmation of a DC Game in Development at WB Montreal

For the past few months, there are rumors of a new DC game in development at WB Montreal and Rocksteady Games. Multiple reports point to different things. Some say a new Batman Arkham game is in development while others claim Superman and Suicide Squad titles are coming.

While we don’t know what this game is, we do know it is a DC game. Now another source from WB Montreal confirms that a DC game is in development. The information comes from Osama Dorias who is a game designer at the studio.

Rumored Batman Arkham Game

The rumored Batman game is a cooperative experience for next-generation consoles and PC. There isn’t much to go on right now but at one point the game had Damian Wayne as its lead.

The game was later rebooted to bring in Bruce Wayne. The news came from Jason Scheier, the Kotaku journalist known for his credible leaks and industry knowledge.

Damian Wayne is the son of Brice Wayne and Talia Al’Ghul, the daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul. Apart from being Batman’s son, he is partially trained by the League of Assassin’s.

Unlike Bruce Wayne his son Damian has no issue killing as the fifth Robin. The character made an appearance in Injustice 2 but developers canceled his game.

Rumor has it that the Bruce Wayne centric Batman game is called Batman Insurgency. It is an open-world game that stars Batman and Dick Grayson.

Arkham Insurgency is created on the same engine as Arkham Knight. The story revolves around another major breakout in Arkham. Batman is facing the Court of Owls. Rocksteady also hinted at the game’s existence in the past.

Since it is a next-generation game, it is safe to say we won’t hear something until 2020.
