World of Warcraft: Age of Darkness Expansion Leaked, New Tinker Class and More

Upcoming World of Warcraft: Age of Darkness expansion has leaked online. The new expansion will come with a new story, class, cap level and more.

Another World of Warcraft leak has appeared online. According to the leak, the upcoming expansion of World of Warcraft is called Age of Darkness. However, we advise everyone to treat the provided information as a rumor for now until Blizzard Entertainment confirms anything.

The leak originated from 4chan and later appeared on MMO Champion. As mentioned in the leak, one of the new features coming to World of Warcraft include a new class called “Tinker”. This new Tinker class starts at level 1 and comes with two new specializations including Explosives (Ranged DPS) and Combat Medic (Healer).

Interestingly, the new Tinker class is expected to be purchasable with the final patch of Battle for Azeroth before the release of World of Warcraft: Age of Darkness expansion. In addition to this, Tinker will be playable by Gnomes, Mechagnomes, Draenei, Goblins, Gilgoblins, and Forsaken.

Blizzard is also planning to lower the cap level with World of Warcraft: Age of Darkness expansion. Furthermore, all characters in the game who are currently at the highest level will be lowered down to level 50. Afterward, the new upper limit in Age of Darkness will be set to 60. This way, players will be able to earn new abilities for characters with the essence system between levels 50 and 60.

The story of the new expansion is as follows as provided by the leaker.

N’zoth unleashes darkness over Azeroth as foreshadowed in the Nighthold raid encounter with Star Augur Etraeus. Starting point is the attack on Thunder Bluff raid where he interrupts the Horde and Alliance forces in the final battle.

Kalimdor is his first goal as the strives to revive one of our oldest foes, C’Thun in Silithus. To do this he’s seeking to destroy the Bronze Dragonflight and turn Nozdormu into Murozond so he alters the timeline where C’Thun doesn’t get defeated and the battle of Ahn’Qiraj is lost by Horde and Alliance in consequence.

So are the dragons back? The answer is yes or no. The leak does mention that few familiar faces will appear in the upcoming expansion. In addition to this, the Bronze and the Eternal Dragonflight will play a major role.

Xal’atath will also play a major role because she’s the antagonist of the Old Gods and will be our guide in the game.

More details of World of Warcraft: Age of Darkness Expansion can be found via the summary provided on Reddit.

To find out if the leak is true or not, we will have to wait. It’s rumored that this new expansion will arrive in the fourth quarter of 2020. However, Blizzard continues to ignore WOW expansion rumors like above so nothing should be taken seriously.

However, the latest we can expect Blizzard Entertainment to talk about World of Warcraft: Age of Darkness expansion is at BlizzCon 2019, which is scheduled to start on Friday, 1 November and will end on Sunday, 3 November.

Until that happens, WOW players can try out Battle for Azeroth expansion, which is now available with new consumables like Sinister Pile of Sand.

World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) available on Microsoft Windows and macOS. WoW Classic is also coming back and will release on August 27th, 2019.
