This Dragon Quest Builders 2 Mini Medal Puzzles Guide has been carefully crafted to help you solve all the Dragon Quest Builders 2 Puzzles that reward a Mini Medal at the end. Without further ado, let’s get started!
Dragon Quest Builders 2 Mini Medal Puzzles
We will be discussing all the Mini Medals Puzzles that are hidden in the three islands i.e. Furrowfield, Moonbrooke, and Khrumbul-Dun.
We shall not cover the Isle of Awakening though because we haven’t been able to discover any Mini Medals in that area.
Where to Trade Mini Medals?
Mini Medals are a useful and precious currency in Dragon Quest Builders 2. You can trade-in your Mini Medals to get unique and special items from the Hairy Hermit.
Complete your Furrowfield story and return to the Isle of Awakening. Head up the Temple and talk to the old Hairy Hermit sitting atop the Temple. From now on, he should offer you rewards almost every time you check-in with new Mini Medals.
Furrowfield Mini Medals
Furrowfield is a very important island in Dragon Quest Builders 2, especially because it blesses us with some story-related content. There are a total of 10 Puzzles in Furrowfield. Let us discuss how to get to each Puzzle:
This should be the easiest Puzzle #to find. It will be located a little south of the famous Furrowfield Farm.
To solve this Puzzle: just pick up the two blocks that are placed on the floor and put them on one of the two pillars in front of you. This should be done in such a way that both pillars become the same height.
From where you are right now, head back to Furrowfield Farm and take a detour to the East. You will find the second Puzzle.
To solve this Puzzle: smash the weird-looking dirt block that is blocking the flow of water. As soon as the water gets flowing, you’ll be rewarded with a Mini Medal.
Instead of heading back to Furrowfield Farm, head north-west of your current location. You’ll find a cliff near the waters. Drop down the cave near this cave and you’ll find the Puzzle.
Pick up the lone dirt block and place it in the middle of the two dirt blocks. This will complete the shrine and solve the Puzzle.
Head east of Puzzle #3 and you’ll find the mad-man with the hoe. Beyond him should be a chalk mountain.
Dig through the chalk mountain and head inside. You’ll find a room. Here should be some water that has been sealed. Un-seal this and make a path for the water to move freely.
To the south edge of Furrowfield should be the marshes – head there! You will find a mountain here that harbors our next Puzzle. Move the blocks in such a way that the raveled building here becomes a perfect cube. This should complete the Puzzle.
Head to the south-most corner of Furrowfield Island and you’ll find the beaches. On the beach, there should be two small pools. Clean both the pools of any garbage/debris and you’ll find that one of the pools has a picture of a slime painted on it.
On this pool, take out two blocks from where the smile of the slime ends (the cheeks). Replace these cheeks cavities with the two extra blocks that should be outside the pool. This will solve the Puzzle.
Immediately north of your previous Puzzle, you’ll find a mountain. Climb the mountain and on the other side of the mountain should be this Puzzle.
You’ll need to clear out any debris and fill the cavity with water. Thankfully, you should have the water pot now. Use that pot to fill the cavity.
Head back to the center of the island and the south-east mid of the map, you will find the Ruined Church. Just a few meters west of the Ruined Church, you’ll find the eighth Puzzle.
To solve this Puzzle, pick up the weird blue plants and plant them inside the white tiles: onto the green blocks.
From Furrowfield town, head slightly north and then take a curve to the right until you reach a cliff that is blocking water. Break the blocks there to free the water and let it run down into a pool. This should solve the Puzzle.
Before solving this Puzzle, make sure you have the Glider unlocked. To the extreme left of Furrowfield Island should be another small island, a few hundred meters offshore. You can get there through the Glider.
Here will be two stones that have a lot of cavities. Use the pot to fill both of them with water. This should reward you with the final Mini Medal piece.
Moonbrooke Mini Medals
Moonbrooke is the second island in Dragon Quest Builders 2 and contains 10 Puzzles. Let us discuss how to solve each one of them, in a precise and accurate manner:
Head north-east of the Moonbrooke church and you’ll find the Puzzle #at the edge of the map, near the lake. You will need to fill this little shrine with water to solve it.
To the direct north of Moonbroke Town, you’ll find the beach-side. The Puzzle #should be here somewhere. Pick up the rocks and place them on brown tiles while placing the flowers on the white surfaces. This should solve the Puzzle.
To the east of Moonbroke town, you’ll find Moonahan. Travel there and you’ll eventually find the enormous Puzzle.
To solve this Puzzle, climb the stairs up to the shrine and match the pattern on the left wall to the pattern on the right wall. This should help the snow to fall directly down the shrine. And that’s what we want to do.
Do note that even if you successfully align the patterns, it should take some time for the snow to fall down the chute. Give it some time.
Head to the far north of Moonbroke Island and you’ll find a cave right beside the local gigantic dragon. Enter the cave. The trick to solving this Puzzle #is using the springs to jump up to the highest floor of the shrine, and finding the brazer. After grabbing the brazer, drop down and use it on the Puzzle #monument.
Just a little south of Moonbroke town should be a small forest. Inside this forest should be the shrine that is our fifth Puzzle. To solve this Puzzle, just put 1 candle in front of each statue that is facing the screen. Do that and the Mini Medal is yours.
Head directly south of the local Moonbrooke River. You’ll eventually arrive at a small shore where the shrine should be. Place the boxes on the left in the same pattern as the boxes on the right and the Mini Medal should reveal itself.
To the far-east corner of the map, to the south of Moonbrooke, you’ll find a shrine. To solve this Puzzle, you need to destroy blocks to make a slime face. After making a slime face on the tiles, wait for the snow to fall. When it does, you will be obtaining a Mini Medal.
Head to the Shrine of Rendarak and you’ll find our Puzzle #shrine just a little south of this shrine. To solve this Puzzle, just move the furniture in an order that it is inverted when compared to the room on the left.
From your previous Puzzle, head a little to the west and you’ll find this next Puzzle. To solve this Puzzle, put snow blocks into the snow face on the left to match the snow face that is on the right.
Keep moving further toward the south of the previous Puzzle #and you’ll encounter the final Puzzle #of this island.
To solve this Puzzle: clear the snow from the flower beds and match the flower bed on the right as the one on the left. However, it should be horizontally inverted.
Khrumbul-Dun Mini Medals
Khrumbul-Dun is the final island of Dragon Quest Builders 2. It also harbors 10 unique Puzzles, as the previous 2 islands. Let’s deal with these pesky Puzzles, shall we?
Head north of Khrumbul-Dun town until you reach the waters. Head a little east of here and you’ll find your first Puzzle. There should be two big boxes here, with holes in one of them.
Place the yellow cube in the right socket of the big box, the green cube in the front socket of the box, and the red box to the socket on the top of the box.
Head directly south of the local town and you’ll reach the docks. From the docks, go west until you reach the cliffs. Climb the cliffs and the Puzzle #should be right there, waiting to be solved.
To solve this Puzzle, you need to lay the red blocks directly below the waterfall that should be dripping from two canals.
Head back to the docks and this time, cross the water south. You’ll find 4 cactus aligned in order. To solve this Puzzle, grab two pieces of cactus from the nearby cacti and put them onto the final cacti.
From the previous Puzzle, head straight south until you reach the waters again. On these waters should be a small floating shrine. This is the Puzzle.
To solve this Puzzle, simply grab a white flower and place it in the middle of the shrine.
Travel back to the local town and head north-east until you reach the beach. To solve this Puzzle, repair the tracks on both sides.
This Puzzle #is located inside the mines. Enter the mines and head to the upper level. The Puzzle #should be three small rooms, joined with each other.
Arrange the rooms in such a way that the left room has its furniture on the left side, the middle room has furniture in the middle and room on the right has furniture aligned to the right.
This Puzzle #can be solved in the story.
To the north-west corner of the map should be a big beach. Follow the waters of the north, while heading west and you’ll eventually reach the shrine. Solve the Puzzle #by burying all the bones under dirt blocks.
To the direct East of the Oasis is the second-last Puzzle #of the island. Place two dirt boxes on the right, such that the red boxes should be able to easily move down the lane.
The final Puzzle #is also part of the story. In the lower level of the mines, in the lava area, head southwest and you’ll eventually reach an area with tracks that needs repairs.
Repair these tracks and hop on the cart to finally reach the Puzzle #shrine. Put the brazer into the blue tile to solve this Puzzle.
