The Nintendo Switch Lite was only announced today, and already Nintendo is also revealing various special editions for it. One of the most notable ones however is the Nintendo Switch Lite Pokemon edition, which is decorated with pictures of Zacian and Zamazenta, the two legendary Pokemon for Pokemon Sword and Shield.
The Nintendo Switch Lite is essentially a Nintendo Switch that is designed specifically to be taken on the go, rather than you having to take it home and put it in its dock to recharge it every few hours. It can still play all of the current Switch catalogue, too.
The Nintendo Switch Lite Pokemon edition will have stylish cyan and magenta buttons in a white case, with engravings of Zacian and Zamazenta on the back. Considering that Pokemon Sword and Shield are coming out one week after the Nintendo Switch Lite will be releasing, it’s a pretty significant buy for any Pokemon fan.
In addition to the special Pokemon edition, the Nintendo Switch Lite will be coming in three different colors, specifically yellow, grey, and turqoise. The system will be available for $199, or your regional equivalent, and though it can play all of the Nintendo Switch games some may come with restrictions.
Exactly what those sorts of restrictions are we don’t know yet, but if you’re one of those sorts of people that prefers using your Switch as a traveling console rather than leaving it at home, the Nintendo Switch Lite is probably going to be the version for you.
The actual Pokemon Sword and Shield games will be sold separately from the Nintendo Switch Lite Pokemon Editions with Zacian and Zamazenta, but the two will be coming out just a week apart. With that in mind, you can buy the Switch Lite and have it ready to go for when Sword and Shield come out on November 15.
