Nintendo revealed the next two DLC additions to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate during E3 2019, last month. Hero from the Dragon Quest and the Microsoft owned character Banjo-Kazooie would be joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The addition of Banjo is more anticipated and it will arrive later this Fall.
However, Hero will arrive somewhere this summer, no exact date was specified. Nintendo France posted a recent message which somewhat teased that news regarding Hero could be coming quite soon. This message about the latest part of the Let’s Smash videos. These are posted weekly by Nintendo France to improve players’ Super Smash Bros. Ultimate skills. In the description of the video’s latest episode, it was said that an upcoming “special” episode is coming soon. Then Hero was mentioned specifically.
“See you soon for a special Let’s Smash (Someone said something about Heroes?)”, the video said.

This seems to imply that an update on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Hero could be arriving soon. Since the episodes are released weekly, this could mean this week’s episode.
There’s also chance that this means Hero could actually come to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate later this week. The game’s last DLC fighter Joker was launched by Nintendo without announcement along with the 3.0.0 update. What if Nintendo repeats that with Hero’s launch as well. Joker gameplay footage was publicly shown only very close to his launch. There’s a precedent that this will also coincide with Hero’s actual launch.
But we won’t know for sure until later in the week. We can only wait and watch. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is currently out now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
