Gears 5 District Map Revealed, A Mix of Tight Corners and Buildings

The Coalition released a new Gears 5 trailer recently to show off the new District map coming to the game. Gears 5 District map flythrough trailer gives us a closer look at the upcoming colorful map of the game.

As seen in the trailer below, the District map consists of pedestrian space with locals, a market, buildings, arcades, and some tight corners. Interested folks can check out the trailer below.

For those who didn’t notice, there’s a reference to Thrash Ball in the trailer above. There’s also a movie theater which is advertising a movie called “Jace Stratton Frenzy.” Although, it remains to be seen what these references mean for Jace in Gears of War 5.

District map will be also playable when Gears 5 multiplayer beta starts on July 19. In short, Gears of War fans are just a few days away to try out the new map.

First Gears 5 multiplayer tech test is scheduled to start on July 19 at 10 am PT, 1 p.m. ET and will end on July 22 at 10 am PT. Pre-load of Gears 5 beta will begin on July 17 at 10 am PT.

Afterward, the second technical test of the game will start on July 26 at 10 am PT, 1 p.m. ET and run until July 29 at 10 am PT. To be a part of this technical test, players are required to have an Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

Apart from that, players can sign up for the beta by pre-ordering Gears of War 5 Collectors Edition. Once done, Gears of War 5 beta will appear in your ready to download list on July 17.

The technical test will offer different modes for the players to try on District map. Two versus modes called Arcade and Escalation mode will be available when the beta starts. The Coalition has explained how The Escalation mode works in Gears of War 5 trailer below.

Other modes that will be available in Gears 5 technical test include King of the Hill and Bootcamp training mode. In King of the Hill, players are required to capture the hill simply by killing a large number of enemies. On the other hand, Bootcamp training is a mode for beginners that will allow players to practice skills and learn new mechanics.

In addition to this, players will get to try out Tour of Duty feature in the game. Tour of Duty will allow players to complete Medals and to unlock exclusive Tester Weapon Skins which will be available for use in the full game.

Gears of War fans will be also excited to know that the latest entry in the series comes with a kill cam feature like Call of Duty games. Finally, players will be able to see exactly how they got killed and discover new corners to hide.

Gears 5 release date is set for September 10, 2019, for both Microsoft Xbox One and PC.
