Star Wars is one of the most popular franchises of all time. This means its fans are highly particular. So, when Jedi: Fallen order was announced by EA, fans were prepared to be disappointed. The game trailer was released at E3 2019 and predictably, it faced criticism. Some had problems with it seemingly being another Darksouls copy. Some had a problem that it didn’t show limbs flying off and some had problems with the color of the lightsaber.
EA has chosen to address the last of those issues. The lightsaber was criticized for being more solid blue than bright blue in the Jedi: Fallen order trailer. Fans had talked about how the white core was essential and EA said it had fixed that.
We made a mistake on that one, and since then we’ve fixed it. That was very fair feedback, fair criticism. We’ve tweaked that, and we’ve also tweaked the shape of the lightsaber blade a little. You can see the difference right away.
That’s at least one less thing to complain about. However, EA should take this lesson to heart and avoid making any such moves in the future. Star Wars fans have barely forgotten what EA did with the loot boxes in Battlefront 2.
You can swing the bright blue lightsaber in Jedi: Fallen Order from the 15th of November 2019 on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
