Spider-Man: Far From Home, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming and the first Marvel Cinematic Universe movie post-Endgame, is hitting theaters today. Insomniac Games has decided to promote the movie within its own Spider-Man game, bringing two new Spider-Man suits into the game for free in the form of the Upgraded and Stealth suits.
Spider-Man: Far From Home focuses on Peter Parker in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame as he struggles to balance his superhero life and normal school life in the aftermath of Tony Stark’s death at the end of Endgame.
While on a school trip to Europe, Peter once again finds himself called to action to stop a group of elemental villains with the help of Mysterio, who normally (including in the Spider-Man game) is a villain. Mysterio is played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
As the movie hits theaters and brings us new Spider-Man suits, Insomniac added them to the lineup of DLC and bonus suits that players had been collecting since the game launched last September. The new suits don’t actually do anything in-game just yet (so no “Instant Kill” mode like in Endgame), but until we find out, they do at least look really cool.
These new suits are free to boot, so you can download them without having to worry about spending more money. Various other Spider-Man suits that were previously added to the game were unlockable in a variety of ways, with a number of them being only available if you bought the game’s DLC stories.
You’ll be able to equip the new Spider-Man suits in the PS4 game if you’ve already gotten the Advanced Suit from the story. Considering how long ago the game came out, hopefully everyone that owns it has already done that.
You can currently play Insomniac’s Spider-Man game exclusively on the Playstation 4. You can also go see Spider-Man: Far From Home in your local theater.
