If you’re a fan of the One-Punch Man anime series and have been anticipating a video game, you’re in luck. Bandai Namco recently announced the very first console-based game – One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. The game will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
Many fans have already taken to social media to express their excitement over this new announcement. However, along with hype, there’s always going to be a shred of doubt.
In this case, fans are questioning the game’s 3-v-3 fighting approach and how it’s going to work with the series’ main protagonist, Saitama. If you’re not familiar with the series, the character of Saitama carries the greatest power in the series – effortlessly defeating his enemies with a single punch.
It’s this trait of Saitama that has fans questioning the game, considering how his character is “unbeatable”. Fans are questioning if the game would be challenging enough by playing Saitama against others, or if they’ll stand a chance playing against him.
I don’t see much of a point in a One punch man game when literally no one can beat Saitama

They’re making a fucking One Punch Man game… how TF does it even work? Saitama is the definition of OP. pic.twitter.com/PRwrxbYlcZ

Here I was hoping they'd make an adventure/beat em up game out of one punch man but they're still going for the arena brawler for millionth time.

As for the game itself, it appears to be a classic arena fighter game. It also has a similar art style from other anime fighting games such as Dragon Ball Fighter Z and My Hero Academia, by keeping itself close to the original animated style.
Also, while Bandai announced a 3-v-3 fighting game, the trailer currently only shows one-to-one battles. But of course, we may eventually see this in future trailers or gameplay.
A competitive fighting game however, needs balance and if we look at Saitama, and consider the natural stats, he is overpowered as hell. Bandai Namco ofcourse, isn’t going to let that happen and balance the characters in such a way that it doesn’t spoil the fun.
There currently isn’t a lot of detail on One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows and its multiplayer function or how the other characters will appear in the game. There’s also no release date yet either, but sometime in 2020 seems plausible.
