Death Stranding Loading Screen Possibly Leaked Via Twitter Post

A Death Stranding loading screen might have just been leaked via a Twitter and Reddit post, though it doesn't really show much about the game.

What might be the Death Stranding loading screen has apparently been leaked on Twitter, at least according to a Reddit post that didn’t have a source link. While it’s not much to go on, the screen did have a still picture in greyscale with what looked like a loading bar.

We haven’t gotten very much information either in gameplay or story about Death Stranding, even with the trailer that came out last month that finally gave us a release date along with the bare outline of the story. So most fans are taking anything we can get.

Death Stranding is the first offering from Hideo Kojima in years after his highly publicized and caustic split with Konami back in 2015. That split not only left Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain unfinished, but also caused the cancellation of the highly anticipated Silent Hills.

Since Kojima was collaborating with The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus, acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro, and well-known Japanese horror manga artist Junji Ito, many people were angry at Konami for cancelling what could have been the best Silent Hill game ever.

While Death Stranding is a new property that doesn’t promise the same sort of scares as Silent Hills, it still involves Kojima, Guillermo Del Toro, and Norman Reedus alongside a lot of other well-known vocal talent, with a highly unique atmosphere and setting.

The Death Stranding loading screen doesn’t give us that much to look at aside from characters, but it’s still a bit more of an example of gameplay for people looking forward to playing the game.

The Death Stranding loading screen might also have another reason, though. In the loading screen picture, you can see a large number of various numbers and pictures and emoticons. Knowing how the Death Stranding marketing strategy has been so far, these might lead to something.

However it goes, Death Stranding will be releasing exclusively on the Playstation 4 on November 8 of this year.
