An alleged document leaked to Reddit allegedly by Sony has been ruled out as not official, meaning a 2019 release for Ghost of Tsushima is highly unlikely. The alleged document from Sony was leaked on Reddit, one that seemingly held quite a lot of importance, as it would be shown to Sony’s stakeholders during its recent meeting.

The document contained a table showing sales data and release dates of the main PlayStation games. The ones that stood out the most were Death Stranding slated for release in November 2019, and Ghost of Tsushima by the end of this year. The document is found to be from an analysis put together by Third Point’s activist investor Daniel Loeb.

Ghost of Tsushima release date is likely to be pushed to PlayStation 5. It won’t be surprising if Ghost of Tsushima is a next-generation game. It certainly looks like one.

Since this leak of information, fans of this highly anticipated game are not convinced of Ghost of Tsushima coming to consoles by the end of 2019. Some point out that if this were the case, the game would launch with minimal marketing which isn’t a good business decision. Also, its alleged release date could refer to the current fiscal year 2019, which will end on March 31st, 2020.

So, unfortunately, as this isn’t official Sony information, there is still no release date on Ghost of Tsushima on PlayStation 4, as much as we’re looking forward to its announcement.
