Apex Legends Wattson Guide – How to Play, Synergies, Best Team Comps

Apex Legends has released the second season for the game and with it, the 10th playable character has been added to the game’s roster. Natalie ‘Wattson’ Paquette specializes in defensive gameplay like that of Lifeline. She comes with some interesting unique abilities that are used to shut down any offensive push by the enemy, giving you some time to breathe.

Apex Legends Wattson Guide

Her passive “Spark of Genius” compliments her Ultimate Ability and Tactical Abilities. Wattson can instantly fully recharge her ultimate with only a single ultimate accelerant.

Keep one ultimate accelerant with you so you are able to use your ultimate back to back during a battle. Another perk of her passive is that the pylon she deploys during her ultimate. Also, speeds up the cooldown on her tactical.

Tactical Ability: “Perimeter Security”

Wattson deploys electrified nodes. She can deploy up to 12 of them. Each one of these link with each other creating an electric fence.

The fence kind of works like Caustics Tactical. It damages and detects anyone that runs past the fence allowing you to get an easy pick on him.

However, unlike Caustic’s cylinders, the fence can cover a lot of areas. You can also manipulate fences into making a fortress around you keeping you safe for a while.

Do note that when a teammate passes through the fence, it does not affect him. However, when the teammate passes through the fence, the fence is disabled for a brief period, allowing enemies to pass through unhindered.

Ultimate Ability: “Interception Pylon”

This ability works as a Trophy System from Blackout and at the same time work as Lifeline’s drone. When deployed, it covers a parameter in which any projectiles that manage to enter will be destroyed.

Therefore, the enemy deployed Grenades, Molotovs, and Arc Stars are useless against it. Another distinct feature about this ability is that, like Lifeline’s drone, it can heal those within close proximity to the pylon.

However, unlike Lifeline’s drone, the pylon only regenerates shield instead of HP.

This means that if you have a Lifeline on the team, you can pair with her to get the most out of the gadget because that way you will be regenerating both your health and shield simultaneously.
