A new Mortal Kombat patch elevates the game to version 1.06. The update is mostly a bug fixer as well as a couple of new quality of life improvements. You can find the official patch notes on the Steam page but I will summarize them down below.
Among the additions to the game, a notable one was the introduction of easy krushing blows. Krushing blows in Mortal Kombat 11 are specific X-ray attacks that trigger after a pre-requisite is met.
Easy Krushing blows which is available in the training mode, allow for you to perform the x-ray attacks without meeting the pre-requisites. This means you can do Scorpion’s back punch initiated Krushing blow without having to do an 8 hit combo.
Another thing that Mortal Kombat 11 version 1.06 has added is some new brutalities for players to discover. These could either be added to existing special moves or even put in with some of the combos perhaps.
Other than that, NetherRealm Studios continued to focus mostly on bug fixing and other quality improvements. This includes further reinforcing and increasing the rewards you can get from the Towers of Time. Mortal Kombat 11 continues to try its best so it can be less grindey.
The patch notes also mentioned more fixes being applied to desync issues between players. These were major problems due to interrupting and ending online sessions. It was especially annoying when you were in the middle of a tag team boss fight with your friend and the game desyncs just before the victory. Hopefully, this Mortal Kombat 11 update puts an end to that.
Other than that, the patch notes and game build itself have referenced the first season of Mortal Kombat 11 nicknamed as the “season of blood” which starts this upcoming Tuesday.
There’s still no mention of any Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters however. Ed Boon’s trolling hasn’t helped settle the rumors either.
The Mortal Kombat 11 version 1.06 is live now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
