Breath Of The Wild Sequel to Remain in Hyrule With New Gameplay and Story

The upcoming Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel will feature Hyrule once again but with some changes. This information comes from Game producer Eiji Aonuma.

Following the surprise announcement of Breath of the Wild sequel at E3 2019 Direct, Game Informer sat down with Eiji Aonuma to learn about the upcoming sequel and to know the reason why it’s happening.

It’s uncommon for Zelda games to receive direct sequels but this time, Aonuma saw something interesting about Breath of the Wild thus decided to create a new experience based on the same world as before.

One of the reasons we wanted to create a continuation was because I wanted to revisit that Hyrule again and use that world again, while incorporating new gameplay and new story, Aonuma said.

Afterward, Aonuma talked about some other aspects of the game such as confirming that the players will not need expansion pass to play Breath of the Wild 2 .

The game producer also confirmed that Hidemaro Fujibayashi has returned to direct Breath of the Wild Sequel. “We’re working together really hard on this game”, said Aonuma.

Interestingly, this time we might finally get to play as Zelda in the upcoming game as hinted by the game producer recently.

In another interview, the game producer revealed that the young team members of Breath Of The Wild have been inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2. That’s pretty much all that was shared about the upcoming sequel after its E3 reveal.

Zelda series fans can check out the reveal trailer of Breath of The Wild Sequel below.

The trailer shows us characters like Link and Zelda accompanied by eerie. There’s no Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 release date available yet.
