Call of Duty Modern Warfare is bringing back the single-player campaign. However, Sony skipped E3 2019 and that’s why we didn’t get to see any gameplay for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019. But, Activision has rolled out a couple of multiplayer screenshots for the upcoming title.
The first image showcases a ghillied-up sniper which harkens back to the original Modern Warfare for players who play as snipers. The second screenshot reveals that Juggernaut suit will be making a comeback in the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019.
However, it’s unknown if players will be able to equip the Juggernaut suit for themselves or will it just be an enemy type like in Modern Warfare 2 Spec Ops mode.
Not only that, Infinity Ward has confirmed cross-play for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019. According to the developers, cross-play for Modern Warfare 2019 will work in a similar manner to Fortnite.
Fortnite-style “input matchmaking” will help avoid PC players stomping everyone, as is a common concern. You match with other players with your style of input, controller or M+K, and only go “out of your league” if you’re partied with a PC friend on console, which will get you into mainly PC games.
Furthermore, the game won’t have any season pass and all of the DLC maps will be free to those who purchase the base game. This is the first time in years that a Call of Duty game is launching without any season pass.
However, all of the DLC will first launch for PlayStation 4 and then for PC and Xbox One. This is due to the partnership between Activision and Sony.
Call of Duy Modern Warfare 2019 is a first-person action shooter in development at Infinity Ward. The game is scheduled to launch on October 25, 2019, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
