No Need To Wait, You Can Play The Last Remnant: Remastered On Nintendo Switch Right Now

Square Enix’s E3 2019 press conference just ended a few hours ago and we got to see a ton of upcoming games. Even though most of the games had release dates for 2020, there are some games that you can play right now. Apart from Final Fantasy, Square Enix showed off a launch trailer for The Last Remnant: Remastered for Nintendo Switch.

The Last Remnant was a Square Enix RPG back in 2008 for the Xbox 360. It was actually the first Square Enix game built using the Unreal Engine. The game reportedly had a lot of problems such as frequent frame drops, sudden texture popping, along with criticism towards its storyline and combat system.

Almost a year after its initial release, it got its very own PC port in 2009 which had a new “Turbo Mode” as well as a New Game Plus option. The Last Remnant’s PC port was unfortunately pulled from Steam after a while.

In September of last year, Square Enix announced that there will be a remastered version of The Last Remnant which was released for PlayStation 4 on December 6, 2018. T

he Last Remnant: Remastered was a massive improvement from the 2008 version with improved graphics and added features built using the Unreal Engine 4.

During Square Enix’s E3 2019 press conference, the company announced that The Last Remnant: Remastered will be coming to Nintendo Switch. Not only that but it will be available for downloads immediately.

According to the Nintendo Switch Game Store, The Last Remnant: Remastered has a 12.0 GB file size and will cost $19.99 USD.

Last released in 2008, The Last Remnant captured the hearts and minds of gamers with its enthralling story, countless characters and intricate battle system. Now this cult classic RPG is back with a Remastered version and is coming to Nintendo Switch with even more beautiful graphics, enhanced via an updated game engine.

There exists a world woven together by four races: Mitra, Yama, Qsiti, and Sovani.

In this world, mysterious objects called “Remnants” have existed since ancient times. Who created these objects? When? And for what reason? No one knew nor had the means to know, but continued to extract and use their colossal power.

However, the Remnants’ immense power gradually caused the world to fall out of balance. As further separation tore apart those who rule and those who follow, a war broke out―the beginning of a long and endless strife.

A thousand years later, this story begins.

The Last Remnant: Remastered is developed and published by Square Enix, now available for Nintendo Switch.
