Ninja Theory’s Overwatch Esque Bleeding Edge Enters Alpha Next Month

Microsoft’s E3 2019 may have kicked off with The Outer Worlds but new IP announcements have started to show up quick. Ninja Theory has announced the long-rumored Bleeding Edge which appears to be an Overwatch-esque online multiplayer shooter game for Xbox One and Windows PC.

The 4v4 multiplayer game features melee combat with a character style that is very reminiscent of Blizzard’s Overwatch. The Bleeding Edge trailer we saw at E3 2019 Microsoft press conference is the same one that leaked recently.

The game will enter its technical alpha on July 27 but at the moment it is unclear if Bleeding Edge technical alpha will go live on both Xbox One and PC simultaneously.

According to news coming from Electronic Entertainment Expo 2019, Bleeding Edge is coming to Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC.

Xbox Game Pass PC is yet to be discussed at E3 2019 but we already know pretty much everything about it. Bleeding Edge is just one of the games that can be played via Xbox Game Pass on Xbox One and PC.

Microsoft announced Xbox Game Pas Ultimate a few months ago. The subscription service will cost $14.99 a month and brings you Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass on both Xbox One and PC.

But if you only play games on PC, Microsoft is offering Xbox Game Pass to you only for $4.99 a month. Here’s the recently revealed pricing model.

  • Xbox Game Pass PC – $4.99 per month, includes more than 100 PC games
  • Xbox Game Pass Console Games – $9.99 per month, includes more than 100 Xbox games
  • Xbox Live Gold – $9.99 per month, includes access to online multiplayer games
  • Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – $14.99 per month, Xbox Game Pass PC, Xbox Live Gold, and Xbox Game Pass Console Games

Xbox Live Ultimate can be purchased from Microsoft’s official website.

Ninja Theory has multiple games in development and they too are expected to release on Xbox Game Pass so Ultimate is a pretty much deal. Bleeding Edge Alpha details will be shared in the coming weeks. It is yet to be confirmed but you will most likely require Xbox Game Pass to access Bleeding Edge alpha.

Moreover, 34 Xbox Game Pass games will be announced in just a bit at E3 2019. Stay tuned for more exciting coverage from E3 2019.
