Why You Should Buy From GOG?

CD Projekt RED is the creator of The Witcher series, one of the most acclaimed video games series. The company keeps its games DRM free in hopes that fans will support the studio by not pirating CD Projekt RED titles.

The strategy worked with The Witcher 3 which sold millions of copies with no DRM. CD Projekt RED has so far been a consumer-friendly company that refused to use anti-consumer DRMs like Denuvo which doesn’t work anyway. But most of all its develop quality products that are worth buying.

It is important that we show our support to the studio which is why we suggest buying Cyberpunk 2077 from GOG. Getting a copy directly from CD Projekt RED means 100% of the profit will go to CD Projekt RED.

I personally don’t believe in pre-ordering games anymore but seeing how Cyberpunk 2077 is already a best seller on Steam and GOG, it is a clear majority of people don’t share my opinion, especially when a CD Projekt RED game is involved. So if are going to pre-order Cyberpunk 2077 it is best to support the developer and head over to GOG.

Middle-entities like Valve take a cut out of every sale made through the Steam platform. Steam takes 30% of the revenue generated from sales and Epic Games Store takes 12%. While Epic Games Store is more developer friendly in nature it is no way near as feature complete as Steam.

If you do not prefer buying a copy from GOG, Steam is still the second best option for you.

Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing on April 16, 2020, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game was showed just hours ago at Microsoft Electronic Entertainment Expo 2019 press conference. The trailer revealed Keanu Reeves as one of the main characters in Cyberpunk 2077.
