Can You Join The Dark Side in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order?

Respawn Entertainment has confirmed during EA Play live stream that players will not get an option to choose between the dark and light side in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Instead, the players will take on one particular path throughout the entire story (light path).

Unfortunately, developers at Respawn didn’t provide any reason for not giving an option to go turn dark or light beside saying that Cal is an authentic Jedi and that the game is a Jedi Story. This information was revealed by Respawn’s CEO Vince Zampella and game director Stig Asmussen in response to Greg Miller after the debut of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay.

As for the 15-minute long gameplay trailer, it showed us a lot about the game and the role of Cal, which is being played by actor Cameron Monaghan. The gameplay confirmed that the Cal has forced powers and the ability to parry, parry, and deflect using the lightsaber.

Cal can even wall run and jump like similar to Uncharted games. Moreover, the game features skill points which the players can spend on force abilities like push, pull, slow, double jump and more.

There are different kinds of stormtroopers in the game. Combat aside, Cal will be accompanied by BD “Buddy Droid” throughout the game. BD-1 droid can scan environments, hack doors and more. BD is voiced by legendary sound editor Ben Burtt. Furthermore, we got to see another new addition to Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order cast. Jedi Fallen order gameplay showed us the return of Saw Guerrera.

Overall, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order gameplay is super cinematic and looks like a mix of Dark Souls and Uncharted games. Interested folks can read the game description below.
