A Cryptic Tweet Suggests Death Stranding Release Date To Be November 8, 2019

Everyone has their eyes set on Kojima to give more details on Death Stranding. A mysterious countdown styled Death Stranding live stream appeared on PlayStation’s Twitch. After that, Antonio Fucito has posted a Tweet teasing 8th November as a possible Death Stranding release date. The new Death Stranding trailer today could confirm this information.

Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding is perhaps one of the most anticipated games of all time. And there is a lot of mystery surrounding Death Stranding as well. From its cryptic trailers to Kojima’s vague Tweets, Death Stranding is an enigma of its own.

Antonio Fucito — an Italian journalist — made a cryptic Tweet of his own. The Tweet can either be considered as a tease, a reveal, a rumor, or speculation about Death Stranding’s release date because it is all very vague.

Here’s Fucito’s Tweet:

If Fucito’s Tweet is what everyone thinks, it means then it could be implying November 8th, 2019 as Death Stranding’s release date. Of course, it is likely this could be nothing more than speculation. It is equally as likely we could be getting a major Death Stranding reveal on 8th November.

One of the more interesting aspects of the date is that 8th November falls on a Friday. Fridays have significance in the entertainment industry. Friday is the end of the week, everyone gets the weekend off for leisure and entertainment. Gamers finally get some time for themselves to play games.

It is also significant for PlayStation exclusives. The majority of PlayStation exclusives have released on a Friday.

  • God of War (April 20th, 2018)
  • Detroit Become Human (May 25th, 2018)
  • Spider-Man (September 7th, 2018)

So it makes sense for Death Stranding, a PlayStation 4 exclusive, to have a release date for Friday, November 8th, 2019.

Since neither Kojima Productions nor Sony has confirmed a release date for Death Stranding, it is best to take this information with a grain of salt.

It is likely we will get more news regarding Death Stranding on either 28th or 29th of May. There is currently a live stream going on PlayStation’s Twitch channel, teasing Death Stranding.

The stream is just a looped animation of handprints appearing on a black puddle. The Twitch stream has “Death Stranding: Tomorrow is in Your Hands” in its title. It is likely a countdown for a big Death Stranding reveal.

Death Stranding in in development for Sony’s PlayStation 4 with no confirmed release date yet. And is expected to arrive on PlayStation 5 as well.
