New Xbox Specs Expected To Be Coming At E3 2019, Says New Rumor

The new Xbox specs are expected to be coming to E3 this year, according to a new rumor that’s been making the rounds online. The rumor, which came from a supposed industry insider on the NeoGAF forums, has yet to be confirmed. But with E3 coming closer, we won’t have long to wait.

Last year at E3 2018’s Microsoft conference, Phil Spencer teased that next year the company would unveil its brand-new console. While we have yet to have official confirmation on whether we’ll see any new Xbox consoles at E3, there have been plenty of leaks about them.

These new consoles, the Xbox Anaconda and the Xbox Lockhart, have had a lot of things about them rumored and leaked, ranging from their specifications to what studios will be using them. However, nothing has actually been confirmed yet, or officially unveiled.

If the new Xbox specs are in fact revealed at E3, this will be a major chance for Microsoft to be able to finally get out from under the Playstation 4’s shadow. Previously, when the Xbox One was revealed, a large amount of controversial policies from Microsoft (not being able to play used games, the Kinect always being on, having to check in every day to continue to use it) soured many people’s opinions on it.

That, along with the Playstation 4 having a wide variety of exclusive games and better graphics, were the reasons why the Playstation 4 got a running start back at the beginning of this console generation and has dominated the Xbox One since then.

With Sony not making an appearance at E3 this year, if Microsoft does announce the new Xbox specs, they’ll likely have an opportunity to keep the Xbox Anaconda in the public eye for the foreseeable future, until Playstation is ready to reveal the Playstation 5 officially.

Either way, we’ll just have to wait until E3 rolls around to see if this leak is true.
